Estoy en la lista de desarrolladores, escondido ;-), a ver que se cuece, y como lo consigan… va a ser un sistema magnífico:

Hey Dmitar! =)

What we are doing, is using the Linux kernel, then after it boots up, replacing Init with our own, and then launching our own Desktop Environment. This one uses some libraries that we are developing to handle all the io events (USB / Sound / partitions, you have it..). We are only reusing some small parts, for example:

* Xorg (not the whole thing, but mostly the X server)
* libstdc
* libdl
* ..

These parts are stable and have good support, and won’t stand in the way of our goals.

Much is to be decided, but we have come far in our initial discussions. We’re about to setup a playground area on the SVN where we will try out some ideas in the coming weeks.

The end result will be an OS which acts very similar to AmigaOS, looks better and has more modern features without the bloat. We are going for clean APIs that can be accessed in any programming language (c/c++ for a start), and strong project management – so things stays in focus.
